The legendary CREATURE FEATURES host, Al Omega, will be appearing at the TAHOE ANIME CON at Lake Tahoe's Harvey's Hotel and Casino on May 11, 12, 13. Al Omega Bio James Currie started a late night hosted horror show called Creature Features in 2008. The show is on stations nationwide and ROKU sites like The Monster Channel and BizzareTV. Mr.Currie also worked on films like House of Temptation, Doll Murder Spree and Jack Lantern and helped produce The Secret of 40, and Generations (not Star Trek). Creature Features has been putting on live shows for the last 6 years, the last 5 years being at Blind Scream haunted house where the theater is made up into a living room full of couches and recliners while Al Omega walks thru the crowd with trivia, jokes and personal anecdotes about the actors. Last year Mr.Currie did all of the live shows for free so victims of the Tubbs fire could come and have a safe space to relax and enjoy old movies. Trivia: Mr.Currie really is blind in his left eye, go ahead and ask him about it. James Currie was approached by a business associate in late 2008 about bringing a hosted late night horror show to the bay area. Mr.Currie started filming Creature Features with himself as the host Al Omega. Mr.Currie has a long background in manufacturing and started out making stage props for productions like Shevil Dead (an all female production of Evil Dead by Primitive Screwheads productions) which lead to making props for movies and still enjoys the creative process. His first significant movie work was in Z Production's House of Temptation in 2014 with the Beautiful Jenna Hunt and the award winning Shelly MacKay. The producer liked his work so much he wrote the part of the DARK MAN just for Mr.Currie. He has also worked on Grind House films like Doll Murder Spree (with The Walking Dead's Moses Mosley), Jack Lantern By Sophia Rivera, The Interview plus several Music Videos. Following in his uncles footsteps (a Broadway Producer) he moved on to producing films and shorts like Generations and The Secret of 40. In the mean time, his TV show Creature Features has caught on across the country, especially the East coast. Creature Features can also be seen on a variety of ROKU platforms such as The Monster Channel and BizzareTV. Locally he's been on KOFY and is still on BCM in Berkeley area and VCA in the north bay.
